The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is consulting to appoint an interim management team for Multan Sultans ahead of PSL Season 11. Several former national cricketers, including Abdul Razzaq, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Taufeeq Umar, are being considered for coaching and management roles, sources said.
Mushtaq Ahmed’s previous involvement as a spin consultant with Multan Sultans strengthens his candidacy. Meanwhile, former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja is reportedly being considered for administrative responsibilities, though no official appointments have been made.

PCB sources said all decisions will require approval from chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who will finalize both coaching and administrative roles. The board will oversee all operational and administrative affairs of Multan Sultans during PSL 11.
The interim arrangement comes after former owner Ali Tareen left the franchise following a non-renewal of the PSL license. PCB will continue managing the team until a new owner is appointed post-season.
The move is part of a broader restructuring plan aimed at stabilizing the franchise and ensuring smooth operations during the upcoming PSL season.
