
Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif thanked Pakistan for its support in resolving the Rohingya Muslims issue. He expressed his appreciation during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Riyadh. Both sides discussed security cooperation and the longstanding legal status of Rohingya refugees.
The Foreign Office said the discussion covered the legal status of Rohingya Muslims living in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. It noted that both ministers reviewed recent progress on the matter. Moreover, officials highlighted that a major breakthrough was achieved last week during talks in Islamabad.

The Interior Ministry had earlier confirmed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia resolved the key issue regarding Rohingya legal status. It said both governments agreed to finalize the matter through a formal agreement. Furthermore, the agreement is expected to be signed in the Kingdom this week.
Prince Abdulaziz also conveyed condolences over the attack on the Federal Constabulary Headquarters. He praised Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism and affirmed continued cooperation. In addition, both ministers agreed to expand coordination on security and counterterror matters.

The two sides approved a training exchange programme for police and paramilitary forces. They also decided to convene a meeting of the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia Interior Ministries Working Group in December. This session will focus on strengthening operational ties and improving joint capabilities.
Naqvi said Saudi Arabia remains a cherished partner for Pakistan. He added that Pakistan values its historic relationship with the Kingdom. Senior officials from both countries attended the meeting and supported the discussions throughout.
