Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said the provincial cabinet has been finalized under the guidance of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. He told the media that a first phase of the cabinet, consisting of more than ten members, has been approved, while other appointments are still under consideration.
Afridi added that complaints from party workers are being addressed to ensure smooth functioning of the government. He also highlighted security concerns, stating that continuous terrorist attacks from across the Afghan border have caused casualties in the province.

Earlier, KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi had advised CM Afridi to form a smaller cabinet initially. The governor emphasized that a functioning cabinet is crucial, as delays were holding up important decisions and pending files.
CM Afridi confirmed that the cabinet formation process is moving forward and will include additional members in due course. The focus, he said, is on creating an effective and responsive team to govern the province.
