
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Power Division to create effective policies to boost industrial production through better electricity use. He emphasized the need for efficient utilization of electricity to help grow both the industrial and agricultural sectors. The prime minister gave these instructions while chairing a review meeting on the Power Division’s reform package for industry and agriculture.
During the meeting, PM Shehbaz stressed that all institutions involved in industrial production must take steps to support industrialists and investors. He said, “Providing all possible facilities to agriculture and industry is a top government priority.” The prime minister highlighted the importance of maximizing electricity production use to increase output in these key sectors.

The meeting included detailed briefings on ongoing policy development and reform initiatives led by the Power Division. Officials discussed how to implement recommendations that could strengthen power availability and support industrial growth.
Federal Ministers Sardar Owais Khan Leghari, Attaullah Tarar, Ahad Khan Cheema, Advisor on Industries Haroon Akhtar, and other senior government officials attended the meeting. The prime minister’s clear message was to prioritize energy reforms that will accelerate economic development.
