Former U.S. President Barack Obama has called the hunger-related deaths in Gaza an injustice. He blamed Israel’s actions for cutting off food and water from civilians. Obama said there is no reason to deny basic needs to innocent people. He urged for the quick delivery of aid to those suffering in Gaza. According to him, the crisis needs urgent global attention.
Obama stressed that the humanitarian crisis highlights the need for immediate help. He said reports of famine in Palestinian areas are alarming. The lack of food and clean water puts thousands of lives at risk. He added that such suffering must not be ignored by the world. Obama called for bold international steps to save lives.
In addition, Obama said lasting peace must be the final goal. He stated that all hostages must be returned safely. Also, Israeli military operations must come to an end. Only then, he said, can a real solution begin. Obama believes peace and justice must go hand in hand.
Meanwhile, the aid group Oxfam also raised concerns about the crisis. The group said the small number of aid trucks is not enough. Months of hunger cannot be fixed with limited help. Oxfam said Israel’s small changes in policy are not enough to undo the damage. The group demanded full and safe access to Gaza for all aid efforts.
Oxfam insisted that only a permanent ceasefire can solve Gaza’s deep problems. Temporary steps, they said, will not end the suffering. They urged the opening of all border crossings for aid. Without peace, hunger and pain will continue to grow. The world must act now before more lives are lost.
