Four notorious criminals surrender to Ghotki police

Published on: July 20, 2025 1:04 AM

Four notorious criminals of the Mazari/Lathani gang have surrendered to the Ghotki police after a grand operation was launched against them here Saturday.

DIG Sukkur Range, Captain (Retired) Faisal Abdullah Chachar and SSP Ghotki, Muhammad Anwar Khetran had earlier announced that those who surrender would be given leniency.

The four accused, Sain Dad Mazari, Ghafar Mazari, Irshad Mazari and Mehar Mazari who were wanted in several cases of kidnapping, murder, terrorism, robbery, and police encounters, surrendered before DSP Ubauro Abdul Qadir Soomro, SHO Khambra, Zahir Hussain Bhutto, and SHO Ubauro Muhammad Ramzan Mallah.

The accused had a long history of criminal activities, including kidnapping for ransom, murder, and terrorism. They had been evading the law for a long time, but after the DIG Sukkur Range and SSP Ghotki’s announcement, they decided to surrender.

The accused stated that they had lost hope of escaping the law and decided to surrender due to the tightening of the police’s grip. They expressed confidence in the police and said they would face the cases against them in court.

The government of Sindh, particularly Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, has a clear policy of dealing with those who surrender. The accused will be presented in court, and they will be treated fairly according to the law.

The surrendering accused have also appealed to other absconders to surrender and face the law. The Ghotki police continue to crack down on criminal elements, and this surrender is a significant success in their efforts to maintain law and order in the district.
