ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected an appeal plea filed by former Member of National Assembly (MNA) Syed Gulzar Sabtain from Okara against his disqualification directing him to resort to proper forum. A 2-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Gulzar Ahmad took up the case for hearing Friday. Counsel for the petitioner took the plea that nomination papers of his client were rejected being defaulter of Irrigation department. Now his client has paid all outstanding dues to irrigation department, therefore, court is requested to set aside orders in respect of his disqualification because his disqualification stands to no justification following clearance of all outstanding dues by him, he prayed. The court after hearing the arguments of the counsel rejected the appeal plea maintaining that the petitioner should resort to proper forum in next election.
