ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered National Accountability Bureau to file an application to its chief justice against the acquittal of Asif Ali Zardari in all corruption references and to hear all such application collectively. A division bench comprising of justices Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justices Mohsin Akhter Kiyani conducted the hearing of the SGS-Cotecna acquittal references against Zardari. NAB’s prosecutor Arif Karim maintained his stance that some other corruptions references against Zardari are being heard in different courts; however, all the references should be heard by a single court. Justice Aziz remarked that it does not come under the bench’s authority. While adjourning the hearing, the court directed NAB to file an application to IHC chief justice against Zardari’ acquittal in all corruption references.
