ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that the daily-wage teachers would soon be regularised. While replying to questions raised in the National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday, he said that a committee formed on the directives of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has the authority to regularise BS-15 teachers. He informed the National Assembly that a committee had been constituted to regularise the services of daily wage staff of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). He said that a committee under the chairmanship of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) official Hasseb Ather had been constituted to conduct interviews of the daily wage employees on the directives of Islamabad High Court. The minister said that the proposals have been forwarded to the prime minister to authorise the committee to authorise BS-16 and BS-17 daily wagers as well adding that the daily-wage teachers would soon be regularised as the committee has completed homework in this regard. He said the ministry had received budget for the salaries of daily-wage employees of FDE till June 2017 adding that a testing mechanism for the regularisation of daily-wage employees is in the final stage and assured that their regularisation issue to be resolved soon. He said that their pending salaries would also be paid soon adding that the biometric system would also be installed in the federal capital hospitals. The minister said, “We are taking steps to provide best treatment facilities for heart patients in federal capital hospitals. A new emergency service has been started at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and a new OPD block would soon be constructed”.
