ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali will leave on Saturday for a week-long visit to Turkey. According to the sources, the chief justice will return to the country on May 1. In his absence, Justice Saqib Nisar will act as an acting chief justice. According to details, Justice Jamali will attend the Turkish Supreme Court’s 54th birthday celebrations. According to sources, the government on Friday also wrote a letter to the CJP for constituting a judicial commission to probe allegations against Pakistanis who have been named in the Panama Papers as owning offshore companies. The government asked the CJP to nominate three apex court judges to examine that whether law was violated during transferring of money abroad.
