BAGH: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader Dr Tahirul Qadri were following agenda of enemies while starting politics of sit-ins. “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is bringing investment worth $ 46 billion under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project while internal and external enemies are creating obstacles,” he said while speaking at a ceremony here to welcome leaders and workers of different political parties who joined the Pakistan Muslim League-N. He asked people to foil the politics of sit-ins and agitation. He said that Rs 50 billion have been allocated for the roads of Azad Jammu Kashmir. “We will spend this amount in five years and Rs 10 billion will be spent every year.” He said that Azad Jammu Kashmir was a mountainous area and it was difficult to take patients to hospitals in a difficult terrain. Nawaz Sharif has announced launching of a helicopter ambulance service for the patients, he added. The minister said that the hospitals would be built in every tehsil besides projects of electricity, roads, schools, colleges and universities would be undertaken in the state. Manifesto of the Pakistan Muslim League-N revolved around welfare of people, he added. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had regained health because of prayers of the people. During every tenure of Nawaz Sharif, there were people who created hurdles in his way, he added. He said that Mushtaq Minhas was a sincere person and had worked tirelessly for the welfare of journalists. In Dhirkot, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N would implement its election manifesto in letter and spirit to make Azad Jammu Kashmir a paradise. He said that Mirpur and Muzaffarabad would be linked through an expressway. In the past, the Muslim Conference and the People’s Party remained in power but their leadership could not bring change in the lives of people, he added. He said that the PML-N always took steps for raising standard of living of people. The PML-N government made it easy for the people to get telephone connections and build motorways for safe travel, he added.
