MUMBAI: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has already proved his mettle in Bollywood with a couple of hits including the recent ‘Kapoor & Sons’, and latest reports suggest that Fawad Khan has replaced actor Hrithik Roshan in director and screenwriter Zoya Akhtar’s next directorial flick. According to reports, Hrithik Roshan has also been denying any report of being approached for the same, the fact actually remains that a two-hero film didn’t attract the actor and he turned down the offer. The film will apparently be about Mumbai rappers, said a report. “And now a source close to Zoya tells that the director is looking to rope in Fawad for the role. “She loved Fawad in ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and decided to work with him right after watching the film. However, she never had him in mind while writing this film. When Roshan said ‘no’, she was in need for a dashing hero who could also act well. Khan totally fit the bill,” the source says. The source adds, “Zoya has briefed Fawad about the basic premise of the film and the two will meet soon and take their discussion forward.” Khan is a Pakistani actor and singer. As a singer, he was one of the members of the band Entity Paradigm, an alternative rock band based in Lahore. Their debut album ‘Irtiqa’ was released in 2003, but the band was dissolved in 2007.
