SAHIWAL: A cleric was held for having alleged links with terrorists in Sahiwal on Monday. According to reports, Qari Muhammad Usman, a cleric of a local mosque, was taken into custody by the law enforcement agencies after they received information that he was facilitating terrorists. The suspected terrorists were planning to target Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif ahead of his visit to the District Headquarter Hospital Sahiwal. The police recovered hatred material and a laptop from the suspect’s possession. The suspect was remanded into police custody on a seven-day remand by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Multan.
