RAWALPINDI: A businessman has been shot dead over a motorcycle parking dispute at Singapore Plaza parking area within Cantt Police jurisdiction. Afaq Ahmed, the brother of deceased, told the police that Waqas Ahmed was running a shop along with him at Singapore Plaza when he exchanged harsh words with a man named Imran Sheikh over the dispute of motorcycle parking. Suddenly Imran opened straight fire on him. Consequently Waqas Ahmed was injured critically. He was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the case. Kidnapped: Two persons have allegedly been abducted within the Saddar Wah Police jurisdiction. Perviaz Gul, a resident of Saddar, lodged a complaint with the local police that kidnappers abducted his wife and 15-year-old daughter from the house. He suspected that a man namely Akhtar Zaman could be behind the kidnapping. The police have registered a case and started investigation. Shot dead: A youngster was gunned down within the Koral police jurisdiction. Javed Iqbal, a resident of Koral, lodged a complaint with the local police that unidentified persons showed up near Koral area and started firing at Khurram Zafar, leaving him dead. The body was handed over to victim’s family after medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case and started investigation. Mudslide: A 45-year-old labourer died being swept away in a mudslide near Punjab Constabulary at Rawat GT Road. According to media reports, the rescue sources said the labourer, identified as Rifat, was working in a sewerage line near the central gate of the Police Lines.Rescue teams handed over the body to his family members after pulling it out.
