Culture and cultural activities were among the first casualties for the coronavirus pandemic. The imposition of restrictions and lockdowns meant to stop the spread of COVID-19 led to the shutdown of venues and the subsequent cancellation of events and activities. The industry – in its entirety and across all of Europe – is still reeling from the blow, but with the lifting of some of the measures and the gradual return to normalcy, things are starting to look up. In order to measure public opinion and have a decent understanding of the lay of the land in terms of attitudes towards cultural activities, local authorities in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, alongside businesses and interested parties such as Kino Šiška and Gledališ?e Glej conducted a major survey that gives an adequate impression of how eager citizens are to return to the way things were.
