HYDERABAD: The Sindh High Court on Friday ordered the police inspector general (IG) and deputy inspector general (DIG) to submit their replies on Aziz Mustafa Memon’s disappearance. Ghulam Mustafa filed a petition that alleged enforced disappearance of his son – Aziz Mustafa. It said that the police personnel arrested his son on August 24 from their residence in Faraz Villas in Qasimabad town. The petitioner also informed the court of the registration number of the police van in which his son was allegedly taken away. “But the police are neither declaring the arrest nor even accepting that they detained my son from my residence,” he said. Mustafa expressed fear for his son’s life and pleaded the court to order the police for his safe recovery. The court ordered the respondents – including Sindh police IG, Counter Terrorism Department DIG, Hyderabad’s DIG and SSP and other officials – to submit their reply on September 7.
