Nowshera police arrested man who deprived industrialist of Rs 90m

Nowshera police have claimed to arrest a robber who carried out robbery at the house of an industrialist. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mardan Range Mohammad Ali Khan Gandapur flanked by District Police Office (DPO) Nowshera Captain (r) Mansoor Aman told a press conference at Nowshera Police lines that the owner of Swat Ceramics Company (SCC) Shaidu Nowshera Asghar Ali Nasir who is originally from Karachi but lives in house inside his factory told the Akora Khattak police that he along with his family was away in Karachi for few days and on his return found the doors of his house broken and the family was deprived of more than 90 million rupees of cash and jewellery.

DIG Gandapur said that after receiving information about the robber, police team headed by the DPO Nowshera Aman supported by the forensic investigation unit rushed to the site. DIG taking prompt action also setup a join investigation team under the leadership of DPO Nowshera and the team started investigation using all the modern techniques, data and within 9 days of the incident traced the accused from Muzaffarabad AJK who confessed to have committed the robbery, one of the biggest in the history of district Nowshera.

Sharing the details, DIG Gandapur said that this was a test case for Nowshera police because of the fact that the robbed house was situated inside the highly security company and police had to work on scientific and technical bases to arrest the suspect. He claimed that the accused Mazhar Moghal s/o Maqbool Mughal from Muzaffarabad used to work as a security guard at the house the businessman for more than 9 months and on the identification of the accused, the Nowshera police had recovered cash and jewellery worth more than 70 million rupees which is the biggest recovery in the history of Nowshera police.

DIG also said that the accused had told the police that he had invest some of the looted money in buying a house and he said that Nowshera police is already in contact with the estate agent to recover the invested money. He also appreciated the efforts and professional skills of the Nowshera police and especially the team involved in resolving the case. He also recommended the members of the police team for police prizes and certificates for their excellent performance.
