Sir: Gutka is an alloy of habit-forming chemicals which is very baleful to the human body. The chemicals in Gutka that cause several diseases together like mouth cancer too. However, this has become a trend in Pakistan for a long time and people mostly chew it as a fashion and tradition. Annually, 250 to 300 patients having mouth cancer caused by Gutka chewing are reported, according to a study from Jinnah Hospital Karachi. Recently, the government of Sindh has brassbound for those who buy and sells such intoxicated materials he/she will be sent to prison.
