The Environmental Consultants Association of Pakistan (ECAP) has elected its executive body for the year 2019-21 during its general elections held on Sunday in Lahore.
Syed Nihal Asghar was elected as president, Muhammad Azeem (secretary general), Dr Samia Saif (senior vice president), Farhan Akhtar Awan (vice president), Aleem Butt (secretary information) while Shamila Arfan, Abdul Hafeez and Zillay Maryan were elected as joint secretaries.
The house also elected Muhammad Anis, Ahtasham Raza, Naveed Ahmadm Waheed Ahmad, Asif Ali, Zahid Iqbal and Umar Farooq as the executive members of ECAP for next tenure.
Newly elected President Syed Nihal Asghar pledged to work in accordance with environmental laws, and vowed to put efforts to resolve problems of environmental consultants.
