RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi on Monday issued notices to eight accused, including former dictator Pervez Musharraf, in Benazir Bhutto murder case. The court also directed all accused to record their statements before it on November 21. The Scotland Yard’s inquiry report has also been made part of court’s proceedings as evidence. The postmortem report of the former prime minister and the statement of former interior secretary Kamal Shah were also presented in the court. According to Kamal Shah, “A letter was sent to the then government, requesting it to provide security to Benazir Bhutto – as she was facing threats – but no security was provided to her.”
