KARACHI. Police on Wednesday claim to have arrested four Lyari gangsters allegedly involved in target killers and extortion activities in a metropolis.
The arrests were made during raids and encounters in parts of troubled Lyari neighborhood including Chakiwara and Kalakot.
District City SSP Faizullah Korejo while addressing a press conference held at his office informed the media about the arrests saying that the the arrested criminals are target killers and extortionists.
The three suspects who were later identified as Ashfaq Hussain Abidi alias Tango, Munawar Ali Zaidi and Asif Haider were arrested after an exchange of fire with the police in Chakiwara area of Lyari. The police also claim to have recovered weapons from their possession. SSP Korejo said that the criminals arrested were affiliated with the Wasiullah Lakho and Ayaz Zehri group of Lyari gang.
