Unknown armed assailants, on Friday, attacked a police picket in Momin Mahar and injured one officer. According to details, some armed persons used lathis and axes to target Momin Mahar Police Picket when cops were busy snap-checking. Constable Karim Bux Bhambhro sustained severe wounds and was rushed to Kot Diji Taluka Hospital. He was later shifted to Khairpur Civil Hospital in critical condition. Talking to news sources, Bhamhbhro said that six armed persons, including Pervez Wasan, Aslam Wasan, Shoukat Wasan, Salahuddin Wasan, attacked the police picket with axes and lathis and injured him. The armed men fled from the scene on their motorcycles, he added. The constable appealed Sindh Police Inspector-General (IG), Sukkur Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Khairpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to provide him protection and justice. Neither any case was registered no any culprit was arrested till the filing of this story.
