Sir: The value of life is on the decline in Pakistan, especially of minority communities. The persecution of religious minorities in Pakistan has intensified in recent years and reached critical levels. According to reports, Pakistan is a house to about 20 percent Shias and 70 percent Sunnis, with the remaining comprising other minorities. All citizens of Pakistan are not safe but religious minorities undoubtedly face acute levels of persecution, especially in the commercial hub of Pakistan. Karachi has a bad reputation for sectarian violence. It is the need of the hour to protect the lives of all citizens, especially religious minorities, who are being victimised relentlessly in the country. NASIR-UD-DIN SOOMRO Hyderabad
