Sir: I am seeking your attention towards increasing noise pollution and its damaging effects on citizens and environment, request you to please take an action of this issue and do the needful in your capacity.
Please put a ban on illegal motor horns and illegal modified silencers, loud horns and heavy duty trucks and old vehicles from vibrating and rattling through our towns, city streets and state highways.
Apart from exhausts, noise pollution created due to other fancy horns fitted to the vehicles, old vehicles running on the roads need consideration and appropriate action. Noise emission norms set by CPCBC for each segment of vehicles in attached herewith.
We must ban the sale of loud pipes and fancy horns and impose heavily fine upon those who customize and refuse to obey or should have strict provisions in the law to eliminate the cause. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, especially if the law enforcement officials don’t know the law.
Our Government should take action on this act and set legal and standard horn on every vehicle.
