SUKKUR: Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Sajjad Ali Shah visited the District and Session Courts of Sukkur and inaugurated the Identification and Surety Branch and Solar System. The CJ also attended a reception, which was hosted in his honor by the District Association, Sukkur. Addressing the gathering, the CJ told that he had appointed judges purely on merit and a team on senior judges would be formed to end corruption and asked young lawyers to work hard so as to become good judges. He said Sukkur Division was playing important role in the Judicial System by giving efficient advocates and judges to the system as one third of the 150 judges were appointed from the Division. The CJ told that 10Additional District Session Judges were appointed on merit out of 28 vacant posts while remaining 18 posts will be filled up soon. He announced that the process of appointing New Civil Judges will be starting from Jan-7, 2017. CJ further told that the judiciary was trying to provide speedy and low cost justice to the masses at their door step and judges were being appointed to all vacant posts of Judges at Taluka and District levels, while over 300 judges were appointed in the last three years in the Sindh. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah also told that 32 judges were dismissed, while a team would be constituted comprising senior honest judges in case of any complaint of corruption. Further, the CJ announced Rs35000 for the District Bar Association Sukkur and Rs 480000 for High Court Bar Association Sukkur. Justice Faheem Ahmed Siddiqee, District and session Judge Sukkur Jahangeer Ahmed Dayo, SSP Amjad Shaikh , Regisrar of sindh high court Ghulam Mustafa Memon, Advocate Supreme Court, David Lawrence, Shabir Shar, Nisar Bhambhro, Liaqat Ali Shah and many other lawyers were present in the reception.
