Sir: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) had/has a political mantra which it kept using during its election campaigns, and it continue to assume this even to date, that economy of this country has brought to the brink of bankruptcy due to wrong and unwise financial policies and strategies of previous governments. But yet, ironically, PTI has granted the Finance Ministry portfolio to Pakistan People Party’s finance minister Hafeez Shaikh after stepping down of Asad Umar. And, by doing so, it has self-negated its own statement and agenda. PTI should keep focus on motto as to how can the current debilitating economy of country be salvaged from crippling, instead of the mantra of money laundering, corruption, accountability etc. ZAHID ALI ZOHRI Nagar, Gilgit-Baltistan
