Sir: I am writing to you to express my deep concern over the Gender Equity. Firstly, I believe that we human beings are all equal in rights and dignity regardless of gender, race, social class, language, traditional and religious beliefs, and political opinions.
I also believe that in the past, custom and culture was dominant, as a result women were considered inferior to men.
Nowadays, patriarchy is still practiced but I think that women have the right and freedom to do whatever they want without
discrimination. Women have the right to live, liberty, security, education, health and engage in any activities in the public and in the private sphere.
They do have equal right as men do to participate in politics and be elected into parliament and become leaders.
Promoting gender equality would result in cultural, social, political, and economic changes within the nation.
Women are keen and critical thinkers that would help in enhancing the environment and boost the nation to a new level.
And also, they would aid in supporting feminism and gender equality in the nation.
I urge the government and the Minister of Justice to enact regulations and bill of rights with respect to gender inequality, and also recommend that women should take a step forward to make their voice heard.
