Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader and member of the National Assembly (MNA) Khursheed Ahmed Shah, on Sunday, announced party chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s plans to launch a train march from Rohri in Sindh to Rawalpindi in Punjab. He said this while talking to media persons in Sukkur while adding that PPP had decided to do this to save the public from the torture of price hike. Shah alleged that the federal government had constituted economic policies, which have miserably failed. With regard to the loan taken from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the recent past, the senior leader remarked that Imran Khan had previously vowed to commit suicide rather than approaching the agency. Yet, he still approached IMF, Shah added MNA Shah said out loud the possibility of forming an alliance with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and other parties since opposition had united in the past and would do so again to raise voice for public issues Hailing the parliament as superior, he wondered why the prime minister was not coming to the forum. He said that many people were asking him about the train march while maintaining that PPP had given the government six months to show some improvement. However, no problems of masses were being resolved, therefore, the party had decided to protest, he added. Published in Daily Times, March 25th 2019.
