Almost two decades after the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and actor Salman Khan are to collaborate for another film. According to India Today, the film will be a love story and is expected to go on floors by the second half of the year. According to a source quoted by a daily, “He had discussed the idea with Salman before the release of his last directorial, Padmaavat. Salman is equally excited to collaborate with him. Sanjay has been working on three scripts simultaneously and was in talks with several big actors. He has finally decided to go ahead with this one which will be spearheaded by Salman.” The film is also expected to be produced by Salman Khan as well. The dates are yet to be figured out, as Salman has to wrap up ‘Dabangg 3’ as well. The music will be composed by Bhansali, as per reports. Salman had worked with Bhansali in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. It had also co-starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Love between Salman and Aishwarya bloomed on the sets of the film, and it spilled over to their magnetic on-screen chemistry. However, two years later, they called it quits and have not worked with each other ever since. Meanwhile, Salman is busy with the period drama ‘Bharat’, which stars Tabu, Disha Patani and Katrina Kaif. It is being helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Published in Daily Times, February 24th 2019.
