LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid on Saturday said that Shehbaz Sharif is the only person asking for the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).
Addressing a media conference in Lahore, the Sheikh Rashid said “I have only heard Shehbaz Sharif asking for the NRO).
He said that Shehbaz Sharif will never get NRO.
The Railway Minster said that according to the Constitution, no one can stop him from joining Public Accounts Committee (PAC). “Try to stop me if you can, I am becoming a part of PAC,” he added.
He said that, I am the most senior and experienced member of the Parliament and its is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) issue that which candidate it withdraw from the committee to make space for me.
“Shehbaz Sharif earlier said that he will not preside over cases pertaining to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), hence, I will chair the PAC on cases pertaining to PML-N,” he added.
He said that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari are responsible for the current situation of the country.
Regarding Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Rashid said, “If Bilawal wants to do politics then he should become a Bhutto and not a Zardari.”
