Recently discovered street artist Abid Brohi has come up with a new track which would not be released before February this year. However, we sure availed the chance to hear before anyone else and here is what we think. Abid Brohi’s new track is an amalgamation of everything provincial and traditional with some amount of western hip-hop, very signature Brohi style. The melody is Punjabi, the rapping part is Sindhi and the visuals are Balochi. This is because the video of the track titled “Sohni Lag Di” has been shot in Gwadar mainly. Brohi had recently revealed in an interview that his newest track “Sohni Lag Di” took two years to complete and said it will soon be available for his fans to groove to. “This song has a twist for my fans, as the melody is in Punjabi and the rapping is in Sindhi,” he had revealed, adding that other than this track, another will be coming out this very sure, fingers crossed. If reports are to be believed, the immensely-talented and achingly young musician, is collaborating with Junoon star Ali Azmat as part of the renowned music platform ‘Cornetto Pop Rock’ to work on the other track. Here is hoping, Brohi puts ‘Cornetto Pop Rock’ back on the music map. The excited and enthusiastic singer had expressed how much he is looking forward to international tours and crossing the borders but the highlight of his personality is that he’s a desi boy through and through. Performing in ‘Coke Studio’ is on his wish list. “My goal is to perform on ‘Coke Studio’ at least once in my life because all my mentors are at ‘Coke Studio’ and it’ll be a privilege to work with them,” he had expressed. “In our country, there is very little support for music so it is already hard to make a career in the music industry of Pakistan. ‘Coke Studio’ would be a dream-come-true moment for me.” With Patari’s contract coming to an end, Brohi didn’t let that affect or end his ambition. He is looking forward to new ventures and of course, touring abroad. Talking about staying positive, despite of being aware of the fact that Baloch artists don’t get the recognition or credit they deserve, Brohi believes he can break that mould. “There is no second chance in our industry. If you fail to impress the audience you are out of the business. I am looking forward to working in Lollywood because that is the upcoming option for local singers,” he mainted. Brohi, who hails from Balochistan, became an overnight Internet sensation when his low-budget track “The Sibbi Song” was released by Patari as part of their Tabeer Project in 2017. He recently made headlines with his second single that came almost a year after the immensely popular “The Sibbi Song” that targets the futility of getting a degree if that degree can’t get you a job.
