Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is on the same level as Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, team-mate Pedro Rodriguez said on Friday. Speaking to English newspaper The Mirror, Pedro said Hazard is one of the top four players in the world. “When you see Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Eden Hazard, they are on the top four footballers in the world,” the ex-Barcelona man said. Pedro further added that the Belgian superstar has the potential to win the Balon d’Or in the future and that Hazard’s form is a great sign for Chelsea. “He is a very important player for us,” Pedro added. Hazard has scored 5 goals in 5 fixtures for Chelsea in the English Premier League thus far, playing an instrumental role in the club’s 5-game win streak in the league. The London-based club’s break from the UEFA Champions League this season might come as a blessing in disguise for them as there would not be much wear and tear and added pressure and all eyes will be on the domestic prize.
