Prime Minister Imran Khan and his cabinet members traveled in a VVIP plane Tuesday for their visit to Saudi Arabia, crushing the austerity claims Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf made earlier. After coming to power, the PTI government had announced to adopt a more austere attitude towards public funds and decided Khan will not use special planes for foreign tours. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had also announced Khan had surrendered his entitlement to first-class travel tickets for international tours. But in practice, PTI is not living up to its claims.
