Will Sheikh Rasheed resign?

Published on: September 17, 2018 5:49 PM

Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed is being criticised on social media after the Khushal Khan Khattak Express derailed in a hilly area near Mianwali on Sunday morning leaving over 20 passengers injured.

It is being said that Prime Minister Imran Khan should ask Rasheed to step down as Railways minister ‘as the fromer, when he was in the opposition, had demanded the previous Railways minister Khawja Saad Rafique to resign’ over the Lodhran train clash which had claimed eight lives.

Imran had said: “It’s a norm in the West that railways minister resigns whenever there is a train/Railways accident therefore Saad Rafique should resign.”
