Sindhi Sahafi Sangat demands journalists’ rights to be secured by Sindh govt

LARKANA: Sindhi Sahafi Sangat’s members on Sunday carried out a rally in which they presented charter of demands to the provincial government of Sindh concerning rights of journalists.

Reportedly, the journalists from Nasirabad, Warah, Wagan, Sujawal Junejo, Miro Khan, Garello, Bakrani, Dokri and other areas participated in the rally which initiated from the senior superintendent of police (SSP) roundabout and culminated at Jinnah Bagh.

They said that journalists must be given their due rights, particularly job quota and financial support for the dependents of the martyred journalists, health cards and security for all journalists, higher education for their children, and salaries on a monthly basis accordingly with the wage board.
