Former champion Conor McGregor has said ‘YES’ to fighting UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, various sources said on Friday.
After avoiding jail during a hearing on Thursday in New York, Conor McGregor now looks forward to fighting in the UFC, and has agreed to fight on any date in October, November or December.
Although negotiations are pending and Khabib wants a bout in November, Conor has flashed the green light for a bout on October 6 in Las Vegas.
Apart for the October 6 date, December 30 in Las Vegas and November 3 in New York’s Madison Square Garden are also a possibility, which Nurmagomedov is aiming for.
It is not yet clear on which date will the fight take place, but with both showing their willing, it is now more clear than ever than Khabib vs McGregor will happen by the end of the year.
