LARKANA: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Thursday denounced political rivals when a huge crowd of staunch loyalists of PPP gathered in Larkana to hold a grand political power show ahead of polls. Reportedly, Khuhro led a rally that initiated from Naundero roundabout and marched through various roads and markets to express party’s strength while holding party flags and chanting full-throat slogans in favour of PPP. “The people of Larkana have given their decision in favour of PPP,” Khuhro said while refuting the construction of Kalabagh Dam, and added that the people of Sindh do not embrace its construction. “The general public from Kashmore to Karachi will defeat anti-PPP forces,” he said while criticising Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Muslim League- Functional (PML-F) for seeking division of the province. He further said that MQM and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) were working on the same agenda, but the people of Sindh would teach them a lesson on July 25. Khuhro decried that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), GDA and MQM have no programme for the welfare of the general public, and such parties were trying to grab power through the back door. Meanwhile, his daughter and candidate for PS-11 Nida Khuhro, Suhail Siyal candidate for PS-12 and a large number of party activists participated in the rally. Published in Daily Times, July 20th 2018.
