LARKANA: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh Chief Nisar Khuhro on Saturday strongly condemned the recent ‘suicide’ bomb blasts in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and termed the plan as ‘a conspiracy to delay elections’. Reportedly, he addressed many corner meetings in Larkana, accompanied by his daughter Nida Khuhro, as a part of election campaign on behalf of PPP. “Such incidents have placed a question mark on the performance and governance of the interim government,” he said while lauding PPP’s sacrifices and efforts against terrorism. “PPP will continue to raise voice against terrorism, and will not halt election campaigns in fear,” he added. Khuhro demanded the interim government to allot a foolproof security measures for ‘the politicians at risk’ so that they could continue electioneering safely. “Advising PPP to limit election campaigns, whereas security clearance of PTI chief Imran Khan reveals double standards being adopted by the interim government,” he said. He further criticised the construction of Kalabagh dam and formation of new provinces in Sindh, and asserted that PPP would continue to fight against forces behind such initiatives. Khuhro claimed that PPP supported ‘father of Maulvi’ during Senate elections, who turned against PPP by contesting election against Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and denounced Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) for not giving four votes to Farhatullah Babar in KP.
