LARKANA: Numerous candidates of several political parties filed their nomination papers on Friday. Reportedly, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto submitted his nomination papers to contest election from provincial seat PS-10. Meanwhile, Grand Democratic Alliance candidate Syed Akbar Shah Rashdi filed his nomination form to contest election against former home minister Suhail Anwar Siyal from PS-12. Sindh Mallah Forum President Ali Murad Mirani filed his nomination form to contest election against Nisar Ahmed Khuhro from PS-11. “Those days are gone when political workers used unfair means to rig the elections,” Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto said in his talk to the media. He alleged that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has exploited sentiments of the people of Sindh in the name of Bhuttos, and then ruined the province for their vested interests. “Now, people are well aware about the misdeeds of their former rulers,” he maintained while adding that full-fledged election campaigns would be initiated after Eid-ul-Fitr. He inaugurated central election office for the campaign in Ratodero. Akbar Shah Rashdi also accused PPP of looting the national exchequer and money laundering. “Time has come to hold them accountable for their wrongdoings,” he added. Meanwhile, Ali Murad Mirani said that contesting election is the fundamental right of every citizen secured by the constitution of Pakistan. “No political party should be allowed to denote its hegemony over other parties,” he said while adding that education and health sectors are ‘intentionally’ left in a state of destitution, so that people would remain uneducated and ignorant. “Doctors are running their private clinics and medical centres while poverty-stricken masses await treatment in the government-run hospitals,” he asserted. Furthermore, he also expressed his displeasure over teachers, who take keen interest to teach privately in the coaching centres rather than providing quality education to the poor students. “Poor masses pay billions of rupees in the form of tax, which in turn are dispensed to teachers in the form of salaries,” he stressed while appealing the public to support him for evolution and change in society.
