LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami(JI) Chief Sirajul Haq has appreciated the efforts for revival of cricket in the country, terming it a breath of fresh air in an atmosphere of tension, lawlessness and corruption. However, he said that the tickets were beyond the reach of the masses as the rulers had levied taxes even on games and sports. The JI chief was addressing a public meeting at Bannu on Sunday. A number of prominent citizens of the area including Jahangir, Haji Nek Muhammad, Nazim, Ismail Khel, Haji Akbar Khan, Qismat Khan, Nazim, Haji SherZareen, announced their joining the JI on the occasion. Siraj said that both the teams playing the PSL final were Pakistanis and the victory of either would be a matter of joy for the nation. He said that the presence of foreigner players and officials at the match was a welcome sign.
