KHAIRPUR: A man has been arrested for allegedly raping and murdering a six-year-old girl in Khairpur district, the police said.
According to a report, a minor girl Pari Abbsai was raped after being kidnapped from the town of Khuhra. The senior superintendent of police (SSP) ordered the station house officer (SHO) to arrest the accused.
Meanwhile, the Khuhra SHO on Wednesday claimed that the police raided a suspected criminal hideout and arrested the accused Dhani Bux Ujjan, who admitted his crime.
The police lodged a first information report (FIR) against him while further investigations are underway.
The assaulted child has been in a critical condition in GIMS Hospital.
