Sir: The ubiquitous use of technology in Pakistan has led to a rise in many crimes. More than 40 percent women are victims of cyber harassment. Therefore, appropriate steps are required to be taken by women in order to deal with cyber harassment. 72 percent of women are not aware about the cybercrime laws and how to deal with it. Many believe that their complaints will not be taken seriously which is why they are not reported. They also feel ashamed to do so and consider it a waste of time With the increasing penetration of technology/internet, the government is required to introduce programs about the importance of reporting these issues and the proper ways to do so.
