Five judges turned judiciary into political party: Maryam Nawaz

Published on: March 8, 2018 7:21 PM

FAISALABAD: Maryam Nawaz on Thursday once again criticised judges who disqualified the then prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Panama Papers case saying “Five judges turned the entire judiciary into a political party.”

The daughter of the ousted premier was addressing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) social media workers’ convention held at Dhobi Ghat Ground here.

She said the top court served verdicts against Nawaz one after the other.

Referring towards the ongoing corruption references against the Sharif family, Maryam said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) could not find anything against them. “If you couldn’t find anything in six months than what would you find in two months?” she said.

Maryam also criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan dubbing him as an “incompetent” person.

She congratulated her workers on PML-N’s victory in the recently held Senate elections and said despite all “conspiracies” the party still emerged victorious in the Senate polls.
