
The third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has commenced in Dubai amidst evening celebrations of glitz and glamour.
Before the defending champions Peshawar Zalmi and debutants Multan Sultans got the cricket action rolling, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium lit up to host a star-studded opening ceremony that kicked off with a spectacular performance of leading star and singer Ali Zafar, followed by the PSL teams’ entry in the stadium.
The ceremony was hosted by names such as Hareem Farooq and Bilal Ashraf.

Legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen spread the magic of her voice in front of thousands of fans eagerly awaiting her performance at the opening ceremony.

Other artists who welcomed the stage were American singer, songwriter, and dancer Jason Derulo, joined by the fan-favourite voice behind the beloved PSL anthems, Ali Zafar, singing his latest PSL anthem ‘Dil Se Jaan Laga De’! Pop icon and rights activist, Shehzad Roy’s performance rocked the stage as well with his trademark style.


Before the opening ceremony, Peshawar Zalmi roped in TV comedy icon Kapil Sharma for an interactive session with the fans, titled ‘Zalmi Night with Kapil Sharma’.
The PSL opening ceremony followed through with the main match between Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans scheduled to be held at 10 PM.
