ISLAMABAD: A man was killed in a hit-and-run incident in the Industrial Area Police precincts on Sunday. Hafiz Mohammad Saleem, a resident of industrial area, lodged a complaint with police that his nephew, Muhammad Amir, was walking on H-9 Road when a speeding car (DK-953) hit him. “The vehicle was being driven recklessly and it crushed Amir, who died on the spot,” Saleem told police. The body was taken to a hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and started investigating. Man abducted: A man was abducted from Pir Wadhai Police precincts on Sunday. Saqib Abbassi, a resident of Pirwadhai, lodged a complaint with police that unidentified kidnappers had abducted his brother, Shahzad Abbassi (45), from the local market. Police have registered a case. Girl abducted: A girl was abducted from Sabzi Mandi Police precincts on Sunday. Basharat Aziz, a resident of Sabzi Mandi, lodged a complaint with police that unidentified kidnappers had abducted his daughter. He told police that he suspected that Saad and his accomplices were behind the kidnapping. Police have registered a case. Man injured: A man was injured after he was shot by rivals in the Koral Police precincts. Muhammad Mansha, a resident of Koral, lodged a complaint with police, stating that Chaudhry Rafiq and his accomplices had opened fire on him while he was visiting the market. “One of the bullets hit me and I fell down on the road. The attackers then fled,” Mansha said. Police have registered an FIR and started an investigation.
