ISLAMABAD: At least three people were killed in separate road accidents in different areas of the twin cities on Wednesday. According to media reports, complainant Umar told Industrial Area police that his father, Abdul Ghaffar, was on his way on a motorcycle when a speedy truck bearing registration number VMR-1347 hit him in the area of I-10/4. Resultantly, he died on the spot. In a separate incident, a motorcyclist identified as Asad lost his life after being hit by a vehicle in the Gujar Khan police precinct. In yet another incident, a man was killed in a hit-and-run incident within the Karachi Company police jurisdiction. Sub-Inspector Mohammad Afzal informed that a man was crossing the road when he was crushed to death by a speeding car driven recklessly by an unidentified driver. The body was shifted to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. However, the police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
