ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that his party did not intend to file a review petition against the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) decision in the Panamagate case. He was talking to the media on his arrival at the SC for hearing of the Bani Gala case. “All state institutions have been destroyed, except for the SC. The PTI stands with SC and the chief justice of Pakistan,” he said. “Had state institutions done their jobs properly, Nawaz Sharif would not have committed such massive amounts of corruption. I am grateful to the SC that it has exposed corrupt leaders before the nation,” he said. “The SC itself has accepted that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) completely failed in playing its role. Now we are filing a reference against the NAB chairman,” Khan said. “The whole nation has pinned its hopes on the judiciary. Had the court not interfered in the matter of corruption, then nothing would have been achieved,” he said. He also criticised Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairperson Asif Ali Zardari. “Zardari is corrupt. PTI will never join his grand opposition alliance,” he said.
