LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the removal of all blasphemous content from social media within four months besides seeking a report from the Information Ministry, Interior Ministry and IT authorities. Justice Atir Mahmood of LHC took up for hearing the petition filed by Zafar Iqbal on Tuesday. The counsel for petitioner informed the court that despite court directives; blasphemous content has not been removed so from social media. He added that non-implementation of court orders comes under contempt of court. The counsel prayed that orders should be issued by the court to remove all blasphemous content from Facebook, YouTube and other social media immediately and in case the material is not removed then all social media be banned in Pakistan.
