PM Shehbaz claims Iran-US deal finalized

Published on: June 12, 2026 9:31 PM

Prime Minister said Iran and the United States have agreed on a final and mutually accepted peace deal text. The development is significant because it could reduce regional tensions and support global stability. The agreement affects countries across the Middle East, including Pakistan and international stakeholders.

The prime minister said the agreement was reached after extensive diplomatic engagement between both sides. He stated that major issues had been resolved through negotiations. According to him, the finalized text reflects a mutually acceptable framework aimed at ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region.

He also said Pakistan remained fully aware of what he described as baseless propaganda during mediation efforts. Certain elements attempted to create confusion about the diplomatic process, he claimed. However, he emphasized that dialogue and negotiations continued despite these challenges.

Furthermore, the prime minister highlighted Pakistan’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions. He said Islamabad consistently encouraged peaceful engagement between the parties. He added that regional peace remains essential for economic growth, trade, and long-term stability.

The statement comes amid continued international attention on relations between Tehran and Washington. The prime minister expressed hope that the agreement would open a new chapter of cooperation. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and regional stability.
