
The Election Commission of Gilgit-Baltistan has withheld results in five constituencies and ordered repolling at selected polling stations. The decision has delayed final election outcomes in multiple seats. It matters for political stability and the completion of the electoral process.
According to Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz, some polling stations in five constituencies will undergo fresh voting. He said all Form 47 results have been completed, but final outcomes have been temporarily postponed.

Meanwhile, the commission announced that repolling will take place on June 15. The final results will be issued after completion of Form 47 and Form 48 for the affected areas. Officials said the process aims to ensure transparency and accuracy.
In addition, specific polling stations across multiple constituencies will be included in the repoll. These include GBA-8, GBA-13 Astore, GBA-15 Diamer-1, GBA-16 Diamer-2, and GBA-17 Diamer-3. The number of affected polling stations varies from one to eleven in different constituencies.

Furthermore, the Election Commission has directed returning officers to withhold all final results until the process is complete. It also imposed a ban on opening and counting postal ballots until the repoll results are included. Officials said final outcomes will be declared only after all votes are verified.
